Aunt Leslie Gets Hitched!

Aunt Leslie invited the girls and me to go with her on one of her final dress fittings. We were thrilled to be able to experience this with her. I knew Sarah would enjoy seeing a real bride trying on wedding dresses.
Her dress is absolutely beautiful with an ivory color and tiers in the bodice and train of the dress. It was the perfect dress for Aunt Leslie! She wore the dress beautifully! I have seen some wedding dresses that wore the bride, but not in this case. There could not have been a more perfect dress for her!

The above photo was my attempt at trying to keep curious little Hannah out of trouble in a wedding dress boutique. No food and drink allowed might as well have said, "No little curious 2 year olds beyond this point!"

The mother of the bride is looking beautiful in her aqua marine blouse! Whew, we made it without making a total mess, no crumbs were left, no drips of juice were dropped, no wedding dresses marked on, and no veils ripped during our time in the bridal boutique! Good job girls!
So, here we are the day before Aunt Leslie's wedding, and what do females have to do in preparation for such an important day??? Of course, manicures and pedicures! Sarah painted Hannah's toes beautifully - I might add.
Here are our Farley feet looking "stunning"! Both of the girls wanted to paint my toes, so Sarah took one foot and Hannah took the other - Oh dear!!!! They were definitely uniquely painted after they were finished. Sarah also gave me a manicure! We enjoyed our "pampering" before the festivities began!
We met at Fairview Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville at 5:00 for a rehearsal. Aunt Leslie gave the flower girls little "American Doll Girl" dresses that are identical to their own flower girl dresses - such a perfect gift for little ones!!! They were quite ecstatic!!!

Whew!!! They all did fabulous! Hannah walked down the aisle like a big girl. They all sat so patiently during the ceremony. At the end, I told Hannah to go find Daddy, because he was at the back of the church being a videographer, so she hopped down and quickly headed that way. She was ahead of Sarah and Elizabeth, Aunt Shari, and Caroline. Then she got to the back of the church and decided to turn around and come back to me for a lollipop! Praise the Lord for lollipops!

By this time, it was about an hour and a half past Hannah's normal nap-time. We came prepared with all of the "essentials": 4 Carebears and blankie.

Before we left the house this morning, and all of us looking "fancied-up," Sarah said to her Daddy, "You look like a president!" So sweet! He was looking fabulous! If only he were the president - wow - what wonderful changes would be occurring! That's a whole other post though!

Hannah all tuckered out, but bubbles keep her going a little bit longer!
As if we hadn't had a busy enough weekend already. We stayed home for a couple of hours from the wedding, then headed out -again- for our church's family movie night in Grayson Park.
The girls enjoyed the inflatables and the movie "Despicable Me".
We did not arrive home until right at 11:00 p.m. - super - super late for our little princesses - and me!
Praise the Lord for celebrations and new marriages bound together with Christ in the center!
