Just A Few Spring Time Pics

We could call these first few pics, the many faces of Hannah.

Sarah was given this adorable little hair accessory for her birthday, and now Sarah is having hard time getting it back from her sister.

Sarah is relaxing in her new dress and with her new Hello Kitty umbrella after her 5th birthday party and all of the guests left. She was wiped out!
I just had to take a photo of the girls before we left for church last Sunday. They were so cute in their denim dresses.
You won't believe me when I say that Mark was the one who suggested Hannah wear a bow to church. Ever since then, she is all about bows. I know you don't believe me, but it's true.
Sarah had a great time painting the new birdhouse from Grammy and Grandpa. Daddy hung it in the backyard so we can watch the beautiful birds.

It's Official

Yes, it's official with our two new kitten additions we are the crazy cat family now. We went to Petsmart to adopt one kitten, and I being the sucker could not leave the brother alone in the cage, so we came home with two.

Here's the bunch! It took about 2 weeks for the the felines to become cozy. Aren't they cute!
The girls and I took the kittens for their first doctor's appointment. They are dressed in all of their "kitty" garb.
It was quite a circus in the exam room and everyone in the office new our crew was there!

Now it's Mow's turn. He is a little smaller and little more gentle and passive; although, he is quite vocal.

A Marvelous Mayfield Day

The girls and I started out the day with a field trip to the Mayfield Dairy. It's free to take the tour, so the only cost is whatever sweet treat you desire. We arrived a little early, so we decided to enjoy our sweet treat before the milk production tour.
Our sweet friends from church met us there to enjoy the fun.

Sarah is giving a try at milking a cow (pretend of course). She said she was squirted in the face - good thing it was just water.
So, the exciting part of the whole day, and remember, it doesn't take much to get this crew excited. A film crew was there who wanted the girls to take part in a training video for new employees, too bad it wasn't a paid commercial debut. Oh well, maybe next time. They had several takes where they had to sip some milk from mugs and then smile at the camera. They were perfect little actresses!

They decided Hannah was probably not quite old enough to hold a breakable mug without throwing it on the floor - very wise on their part. So, they had me sit in with the girls to do a couple of takes with Hannah included.
Who knows this could be the beginning of a whole new career for our girls! LOL!!
The girls were ecstatic when they were given cute little Mayfield Dairy stuffed animal cows. I was excited about bringing home 3 new mugs. All in all it was a fabulous field trip and very much worth the time. Who knew we would be coming home with free mugs and free stuffed animals???!!!
Then we decided to take in a picnic at a local park. The girls had fun eating pb&j's and could barely sit long enough to eat before they ran off to play.
Yall know I love photos from behind and holding hands - just adorable. Sarah is holding her friend, Aubrey's hand, and Hannah is holding her friend, Addison's hand. It is so comforting to know the girls are making friends.
Of course, we were headed over to an antique store in this pic that was in walking distance from the park. Yall know I am sucker for antique stores, and Braselton has so many cute ones. I look forward to going back just do some window shopping and to get some inspiration.

The day was just perfect. God certainly had it all planned out for us. I am so thankful for days like this and for new friends!

Really??? Already???

Is she really already FIVE years old???!!! Is she really old enough to attend kindergarten next year?? Is she really old enough to be reading??? Is she really old enough to be writing sentences?? Is she really old enough to completely buckle herself up without any help??? Is she really old enough to completely dress herself solo??? Is she really old enough to help Hannah brush her teeth??
Wow! Our little sweet-pea isn't a baby anymore! I still remember her birthing day like it was yesterday; although, it was a l-o-n-g exhausting day for Mark and ME, it was the most exciting blessed day of our lives.
I was so excited about taking cupcakes for Sarah's class to celebrate her birthday. It's one of those cheesy "Mommy" things, I guess.
We celebrated all day long, starting out with a big blueberry muffin. Hannah and I sang Happy Birthday to Sarah with a candle in her muffin. Mark leaves at 6:30 on Thursday mornings to make it to the men's church breakfast group.
Sarah enjoyed having the girls' new kitties sit with her while we waited on Daddy to get home so we could leave for the zoo. I just realized I haven't posted anything about the kitties before now. We went to adopt one kitty last Saturday, and yes, I am a "sap" or a "sucker" is what Mark would call it. We came home with 2 kitties instead. I just couldn't bare to leave the brother in the cage all alone. Sarah named her kitty "Boots," and Hannah named her kitty "Meow." The girls are having a great time with the kitties, so it's worth all of the extra effort to take care of them - I guess!!! It's official, we are the CRAZY CAT FAMILY now!!
Mark arrived home early from work, so we could spend the afternoon at Zoo Atlanta. What made the trip even more enjoyable was that we paid NOTHING to get in!!! We used this special deal (http://www.southernsavers.com/2011/03/georgia-residents-free-family-pass-to-zoo-atlanta/) through our local library and it was totally FREE!!! I packed a picnic lunch of pb&j's, so the only purchase we made was for ice cream before we left! We spent a grand total of $12.96, and had a fun-filled day at the zoo.

Sarah's favorite animal was the baby giraffe.
We went back to see the elephant before we left, because he wasn't out when we walked out before. The elephant was giving himself a literal mud-bath. We almost got splashed a couple of times.

The girls had fun at the playground for a long time until we finally had to pull them away. We were ready for the next leg of our special day. We were heading to Stevi B's pizza, Sarah's choice!
Hannah wiped her plate clean several times. She ate 2 whole pieces of pizza. Sometimes, I wonder where she stores all of the food she eats. After we left Stevi B's, we headed over to the softball field for Mark's church softball game. The girls always have fun playing and watching Daddy play softball. It was a long day, but we finally arrived home at 9:00. We had a fabulous day celebrating our precious little Sarah Grace and making her special day all about her! I love you Sarah Grace!

Sarah's class had a Valentine's Day party, so of course Hannah and I had to attend the celebration! The girls enjoyed some yummy snacks!

Hannah likes to do everything that her BIG Sissy does even riding her bike, except she doesn't ride it, she just sits on it! Either way - she is happy!

I just love having a cul-de-sac lot, because the girls have so much fun playing in the street.
Sarah has really started to enjoy reading, and she thoroughly enjoys reading to her little Sissy. I have been teaching Sarah Reading with the book called, "Teach Your Kid To Read In 100 Easy Lessons." I have had several friends and my sis-n-law tell me about this book and how wonderful it is, so I thought I would give it a chance. I tried it back in the fall of 2010 with Sarah, but I found that she wasn't ready to tackle it yet. However, while she was home recovering from her surgery, I decided we would give it another try. Since, we started it in January, she has become such a beautiful little reader, sounding out words on her own and reading little reader books. Mark and I are completely proud of her. We are on lesson 50, and she looks forward to her reading lesson each time we do it.

First Park Visit of 2011

It was a beautiful warm Saturday, so we decided to take the girls up to Fort Yargo State Park to enjoy the beauty of God's creation. The girls totally enjoyed playing on the playground together. Hannah learned how to slide completely by herself and with Sissy's help.

We took a very short nature hike around the playground area. I just love taking photos of Mark and his girls from behind. It's just something so sweet about holding hands - at least I think so.
Sarah is doing much better with her walking; however, her legs get very tired pretty quickly. She just has to build up those muscles again. Daddy gave her a break from walking with a "free ride".
God definitely knew what HE was doing when HE said women need wide hips. My hips come in quite useful every day of my life! I have even found myself holding both girls at the same time on my WOMAN hips!!! We should praise HIM in all things - big and small!

Sarah found this large boulder after our nature walk and wanted to sit on it, so naturally being the "camera-happy" Mommy that I am, I thought this would make an adorable photo, and I was right!!! They are precious!
