Well, we were supposed to have our annual camping trip with the Brogdon family up in the north Georgia mountains; however, the weather forecast had predicted 30 degrees at night. We felt like the frigid temps would be too unbearable for all of these little guys, especially Hannah. Therefore, we did the next best thing, moved the "campsite" to the Brogdon's new home in Milledgeville.

We set up the fire pit and roasted marsh mallows to make smores - yummy, and we had the convenience of indoor plumbing to use rather than an outhouse.

We even brought the projector and set up our outdoor movie theater to watch the movie, "Kung Fu Panda." I have to say, I personally enjoyed the city way of camping, because after the movie was over we all headed inside to cozy warm beds.

The next day the guys went golfing, while Rebecca and I took the kids to the Milledgeville Lockerly Arboretum. They were having a Civil War reenactment day and had lots of activities for the kids to enjoy. In the above photo the kids were learning how to use a branding tool.

I am teaching the kids how to walk on stilts. They had various activities for the children to do, which were of the era of the Civil War.

Storytelling, candle making, spinning tops, and cotton dyeing were all activities the kids enjoyed while we were there.

Overall, we had a fabulous "camping" trip to Milledgeville and enjoyed our time with our sweet friends the Brogdons.
