Ok, here we go!
I have always had a dream of having a playhouse for my girls. After much discussion and planning, Mark and I decided to make it a playhouse in the trees = a tree-house! When we announced to the girls about our - Mark's- plans to build them a tree-house, they were stoked! Sarah began drawing a picture of what her dream tree-house looks like.

The girls and Daddy put on their matchy-matchy shirts to head to Home Depot to buy the first round of building supplies.

Sarah was helping Daddy read the supply list, while Hannah "helped" push the cart.

The little monkeys playing on the cart!

Here we go all loaded up with the first supplies!

Daddy is making a great start with the base, footings, and foundation of the tree-house.

The girls are "helping" their Daddy.

Mark worked all day, so the girls came back out after bath time to see his progress.

Our first plan was to make an A-framed tree-house; however, we changed our mind.

We decided to go with a 5'x8' rectangle so the girls would have more space on the inside.

Yahoo!!! Daddy built the rafters!

Lots of progress today - the walls, the ceiling, the shingles on the roof, and the railing on the deck.

The girls are enjoying their first little snack inside the tree-house!

Sarah and Hannah posing on their deck and admiring their Daddy's handiwork!

It's done!!! The girls were thrilled to have it finished. The girls and I are so blessed to have a wonderful Daddy and husband who wants to give us the desires of our hearts! It's a great reminder to me that just as Mark loves us, God loves us way more and wants to give us the desires of our heart even more!
Sarah and I are talking personalizing the tree-house now with some signage, some paint, some flags, flowers, etc. Next time you see pics of the tree-house; hopefully, you'll see some personalty added to it.
