On Saturday morning we traveled to Dahlonega, Georgia to meet Baba and Papa for an overnight trip. The real reason for our trip was for Mark and I to attend my sweet friend's Brooke's wedding on Saturday night. My sweet and generous parents offered to give us a weekend in the mountains and be our child-care for the evening! Who could possibly say, "no" to that offer!???!

We walked around the town square when we arrived. It is such a happening little mountain town. So many adorable antique shops.

The girls posing with Baba outside the "Cigar Shop". I didn't realize where they were standing until I had already snapped the pic - oh well!

Here we are all "fancied-up" before we left for Brooke's wedding. Papa didn't get a good pic of my $2 yard sale silver fancy shoes. They made the outfit - along with poison ivy on my leg! OUCH!

I just love getting dressed up and going out with my "prince charming"!!!

The girls posing with their Daddy all dressed up! Sarah said, "Daddy you look nice!" They rarely see Mark in a suit and tie except for weddings and funerals. Praise the Lord this was a wedding!

Our fabulous family of four before we left for a night out on the town without kids!!! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my children, but having an evening out with my prince was just the ticket!!

Here we are posing out on the back deck of "Frogtown Winery". It was absolutely beautiful looking out over the wine orchard and little pond. There was just one single little house off in the far distance. It was majestic!

While we were enjoying being "fancied-up" and kid-less for the evening, Baba and Papa took the girls out for a carriage ride around the downtown Dahlonega. They loved it!

Hannah feeling like a little princess!

Sarah feeling like a princess as she cuddles her Care Bear!

The girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

The next morning we drove up Hwy 60 North to an overlook for the girls to get a view from on top of a mountain. I have to say I have seen prettier views, but this particular overlook was looking over some trees. Sarah had to find a potty, so we quickly ended the site-seeing segment of the trip.

Sarah wanted to go hiking with Mark, so they took off in their dresses and "hiked" a short distance into the woods.

The girls posing in front of the tree-top overlook. Sarah is wearing her new dress that Baba made for her! She loved it and wanted to wear it immediately!!!

Baba and Papa with the girls before we skedaddled to find a potty!

The girls are posing with their gold miners hats that Baba and Papa bought for them. They think they are amazing b/c they have lights on them. They will be very useful during our camping trip this coming weekend.
We had a fabulous trip celebrating a marriage of a very dear friend and celebrating family!
We ended our trip to Dahlonega with a scrumptious meal at the Smith House - Yummy!!!
