Celebrating Independence Day

Happy Independence Day! We started off the day making homemade ice cream with heavy whipping cream - whoa!!! Tons of fat, but delicious!!!
The four of us went to the local July 4th Celebration in downtown Auburn for the festivities and fireworks! There were tons of people, loads of food, and plenty of kids activities to take your hard earned $$$$.
The girls enjoyed a pony ride. It was Hannah's first time on REAL live ponies!!! She was loving it!
Hannah's pony shook it's whole body like it had a horrible itch or something, and Hannah starting yelling, "SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE"!!! From now on, when she sees a horse, she says "SHAKE" and wiggles her arms.
Sarah passed by this activity the firs time, then she had a change of heart and wanted to give it go. It's a giant ball floating in what looks like a huge baby pool.
She rolled around in the bubble like she was gerbil in a rolling ball!!!
She would knock into other balls like bumper balls or something.
It's a brilliant - why didn't I think of it???!!!! For $10 you can be zipped up in a ginormous plastic bubble with a limited amount of oxygen and run around like a gerbil until your 5 minutes are up. Sound like fun to you???
I promise Hannah did not drink the soda in her hands. She was holding Daddy's bottle for him, just thought it was funny!
Here we are "enjoying" some festival type food - french fries and hotdogs - yuck!

The girls are cooling off with some yummy tasting snowcones, until Hannah dumped hers out on the ground. :(
Then, we set up "camp" at the mini-van to take in the town's firework display. Fun memories being made!!! I think we finally got home at 10:30 that night!
